August 23: Annual Meeting — The Lakes Region Curling Association holds its Annual Meeting for members on Wednesday, Aug. 23, at 7 p.m. in the meeting room of the Wolfeboro Public Library. The brief session is an opportunity for members to learn about the organization’s finances, to ask questions and make comments about LRCA policies, and to elect a slate of directors for the coming year.

Oct. 13: Learn-to-curl and member practice session — The LRCA will hold a learn-to-curl session for new members and the general public on Friday, Oct. 13, at 5:30 p.m. Any lanes left unused by learn-to-curl activities will be available to members for practice.

The session will also be an opportunity for volunteers helping with setup to carry out a practice run before the Fall 2017 curling season begins. Anyone interested in helping with setup is asked to contact Rich Masse at

Oct. 15: Start of Fall 2017 curling season — The Lakes Region Curling Association’s Fall 2017 season begins on Sunday, Oct. 15, with setup beginning at 4:30 p.m, and matches starting at 5:15. Between the end of setup and the start of matches, members will be free to warm up and practice their skills.

The 8-game season will run on consecutive Sundays until December 10.
